The heavy geeky Leopard Review
Thought it's only about photoshop?
There's Acorn and Pixelmator.
Jon Whipple compares the two.
Studiodaily asks if Pixelmator supports Alpha Channels
(the answer is yes, but it does some other funky stuff.
Management here.
It's been a bit. Bit lonely doing all this by myself. Some ideas coming down the pike. Still news, but also some user ideas.

Yeah, I had this cool idea of whipping up a shell script to remove all of the proapp content.
Which would be cool if I knew wtf I was doing in unix.
Which I don't.
So, in the middle of research on lsbom, I realized I'd have to find a way to parse your personal plist to figure out where the content for STP, DVDSP, Motion and Livetype is/was. And it was over my head.
But if you live in that sorta world, please, feel free to drop me a line.
Been playing with the proapps? Find someone supercool? email me (email is @ top left of blog.
I'm getting emails (and comments) that say:
New copies are shipping. Upgrades not for a couple of weeks.
Either add your info to the comments or email me directly jeffg at final cut pro news dot com.
New Rumor.
FCS 2 comes out the 15th. No, the 22nd. No, it's delayed. Or not.
Oh, and if you have that MacMini or Mac Book (thought you were going to save money, eh?)
According to the spec sheet:
Final Cut Studio is not compatible with integrated Intel graphics processors
Whether that's the whole suite or not (and if someone hacks past that), we'll see.
Again, if your copy is marked as shipping - post this in the comments if you would.
I heard a rumor that the ProApps are shipping.
Now this may or may not be the case. If you ordered FCS2 and it's shipping (you can check the status @ the Apple store), would you drop a note in the comments?
According to here it's delayed
Effects
A bunch of the effects have be set up for FxPlug standard, for the same type of RT effects found in Motion. So, RT, RT, Rt.
SmoothCam
allows the smoothing of shaky footage. This is going to be great for HD stabilization (where, due to the wide screen aspect ratio of HD, any hand held shots tend to be more nausea inducing than in SD). This analysis takes place in the background....
Now this is a first - a 'background' analysis (and perhaps render) while you do other work. Too bad other things couldn't be set to a background render.
RT Color correction
No, I don't mean color - I mean that, like FCP 5.1.2 (but not before) scopes and the 3 way color corrector are going to be RT.
Better Shake integration
Now, as far as I can figure - this is a way that FCP is handling it's XML (and the information on this is a bit unclear)...
But it looks like you can set up an effect, on tracks, say like a Blue Screen on a background, and FCP will pass the clips into shake, where shake will auto build a tree, ready for your to use your Shake Skills.
